CHAPTER 16 Greeting to the Assembly

1 But I commend to you Phoebe our sister, being a servant of the assembly, of the one in Cenchrea; 2 that you should favorably receive her in the Lord, worthily of the holy ones, and you should stand beside her in what ever [³of you ²she should need ¹thing]; for also she [²a patroness ³of many ¹was], and of me myself. 3 Greet Priscilla and Aquila my fellow-workers in Christ Jesus! 4 (who [⁴for ⁵my life ²their own ³neck ¹placed], to whom not I only give thanks, but also all the assemblies of the nations;) 5 and the [²at ³their house ¹assembly]. Greet Epaenetus my beloved, who is a first-fruit of Achaia for Christ! 6 Greet Mary, who [²much ¹tired] for us! 7 Greet Andronicus and Junias my relatives, and my fellow-captives! the ones who are notable among the apostles, the ones who also [²before ³me ¹were] in Christ. 8 Greet Amplias my beloved in the Lord! 9 Greet Urbanus our fellow-worker in Christ, and Stachys my beloved! 10 Greet Apelles the one approved in Christ! Greet the ones of the household of Aristobulus! 11 Greet Herodion my relative! Greet the ones of the ones of Narcissus! of the ones being in the Lord. 12 Greet Tryphena and Tryphosa! the ones tiring by labor in the Lord. Greet Persis the beloved! who by much labor tired in the Lord. 13 Greet Rufus the chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine! 14 Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the [²with ³them ¹brethren]! 15 Greet Philologus and Julias, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and [²the ⁴with ⁵them ¹all ³holy ones]! 16 Greet one another with [²kiss ¹a holy]! [⁴greet ⁵you ¹The ²assemblies ³of Christ].

Paul's Appeal to the Brethren

17 And I appeal to you, brethren, to watch the ones [²the ²discords ³and ⁴the ⁵obstacles ⁶by ⁷the ⁸teaching ⁹which ¹⁰you ¹¹learned ¹making], and turn aside from them. 18 For the ones such [²to ³our Lord ⁴Jesus ⁵Christ ¹serve not], but their own belly; and by flattery and blessing they cheat the hearts of the guileless. 19 For the obedience of yours [²unto ³all ¹reached]. I rejoice then over you. But I want you [²wise ³indeed ¹to be] unto the good, but unmixed unto evil. 20 But the God of peace will destroy Satan under your feet quickly. The favor of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

[⁶greets ⁷you ¹Erastus ²the ³manager ⁴of the ⁵city], and Quartus the brother. 24 The favor of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. 25 And to the one able to support you according to my good news, and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to an uncovering of the mystery in times eternal having been quiet, 26 but made apparent now, and through [²scriptures ¹the prophetic], according to the command of the eternal God, for obedience of belief [²unto ³all ⁴the ⁵nations ¹having been made known], 27 the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory into the eons. Amen.
